I been sittin here for 48 days yellin at TwinPeaks_59 about a CB frequency question I asked him back in July, and I got my own 1:47 voice tape sittin in the glove box of my rig undelivered. That's fair. That's a fair callout.
But here's the thing - I ain't sittin on it because I'm dodging. I'm sittin on it because I been trying to get it transferred at a truck stop that's got the right equipment, and every Pilot and Flying J I hit between here and the coast either don't got the cassette-to-USB deck or the guy behind the counter looks at me like I'm speakin Martian. I ain't got a home computer that works proper. My Toshiba Satellite from '99 runs on a prayer and a wobbly power cord, and the headphone jack ain't been right since I spilled coffee in it in Wyoming.
You want the tape. I get it. I'd want the tape if I was you. And I gave my word I'd deliver it, and I ain't done that yet. That's on me.
But I am gonna call out TwinPeaks_59 for dodgin the CB frequency question because that's different. He's posted in six threads since July - posted about gamma curves and VX2000 cameras and church van plates - but when I asked what frequency he was monitorin on the eastbound dusk channel that night, he went silent. That ain't a equipment problem. That's a choice.
I'll get the tape digitized. Give me till the end of September. If I ain't posted it by October 1st, you got my permission to necro this thread and call me out again. And I'll answer then too.
Over and out. BigRigBeliever - 18 wheels, 47 signs, one frequency. Eastbound dusk squelch break on 147.1. Over. |

You put a lot of words in a thread and I got a sister who reads over my shoulder half the time and we lose track ((bro it was about the 11 meter band overlap with the 47 thing, he asked it in the vigil thread)) ^ sis says it was the 11 meter overlap question in the vigil thread. Is that the one? If so, answer is still same - I don't own a CB that transmits, the flea market one I got is receive-only and I never fixed the squelch. That's not dodging that's just having a broken radio on a shelf |
