Grammar_Vigil, if its any consolation I been sayin chivalry wrong my whole life and Im 53. I used to say it shiv-al-ree and my daughter corrected me at the dinner table about ten years ago and I told her that was the first time in my life anyone told me different. She laughed so hard she almost choked on her spaghetti. So your brother will learn someday, just maybe not from you. My father taught me that some lessons come better from someone who aint your kin. Dennis this is the sweetest thing i have read all day!!!! you and your daughter and the spaghetti, it sounds like a scene from a film where everyone is laughing and the table is messy and nobody cares about the word any more, just the warmth of being together!!!! sometimes the mistake is more beautiful than the perfect pronunciation yes???
