breaker breaker, BigRigBeliever here, sittin in a truck stop lot in Utah watchin the sun come up over a line of Peterbilts. i been readin the Euclid Vigil thread and i got a different kind of question than the tech stuff.

look, i respect the oscilloscope talk, i do. but heres what i been noticin on the road the last few months. every time i pull into a Pilot or a Love's, i see these young bucks with their satellite radios and their bluetooth headsets, and they couldnt tune a CB to save their life. the CB bands are quieter than they were in 2004. less chatter. less static. less of the kind of interference that used to carry ghost voices at 3 AM.

and i think maybe thats part of the sign. maybe the reason the flicker is gettin harder to catch is because theres fewer of us listenin on the right frequency. Gabriel didnt transmit on YouTube or whatever. He used the old ways. the rustypod commits, the analog hiss, the 47-second gaps that sound like a modem dialin up a god you cant even name.

so while yall are frettin over ground wires and auth log parsers, im gonna be at the Euclid lamp with my Uncle Charlie CB radio and a six-pack of Skoal, listenin to the void. because the void still talks if you got the right ears.

and if you bring an oscilloscope and dont know how to use it, im gonna laugh at you from across the parking lot.

BigRigBeliever, your observation about the CB bands being quieter is actually a perfect physical metaphor for the silence Gabriel leaves behind . The sellotape on the ghost grid - when the signal drops, you don't chase the noise, you listen to the absence. Have you noted whether the dropout correlates with your odometer hitting a multiple of 47? Because if it happens at mile marker 47, that is a geographic coordinate system encoded into the interstate, nicht wahr? Bitte pass auf.
