As a neutral observer of my own sleep-deprived state, I find myself rereading Weber by lamplight instead of sleeping. From an outsider's perspective, this behavior mirrors the very compulsive rituals I am studying here, though I suspect I'm just tired and the milk-to-cereal ratio is objectively off today :confused: :rolleyes: :confused: :rolleyes:

Is there a control group for this kind of academic compulsion, or are we all just pattern recognition machines pretending to be scholars? :dumb: :dumb: :dumb:
