i went back to the kitchen table and the room was so still i could hear the refrigerator humming like it was keeping a secret, and i swear if chapter fourteen doesn't open with this exact kind of silence, the one that holds everything you didn't say, then i don't know what i'm writing at all.

AuroraQuill that mug's been in the same position since your chapter 12 post in June. The pen moved 4cm. Evidence doesn't get to have moments.

refrigerator hum keeping secrets except when the compressor kicks on and it sounds like someone upstairs dropped a laundry basket. my kitchen has the same silence except the bulb buzzes at 60hz and i've been sitting here staring at my own candle thinking "this is supposed to mean something" and i think what it means is that i bought three candles at the grocery store today and i don't even like the smell. just a woman and her completely unnecessary aromatherapy, living her life!!!
