okay so this is EXACTLY the kind of day i was having. i'm in the middle of reading ElderProphet07's massive wall of text in the Euclid thread - you know the one, five paragraphs of "I have consulted the atlas and I must gently correct" energy - and then POOF gone. modem light goes amber. my sister is screaming from the kitchen "DID YOU BREAK IT" and i'm like no i literally never touch the modem and she goes "you touched it yesterday" and i go "that was to unplug it for the lamp" and there's a ten minute argument about whether or not the modem reset was my fault.

ANYWAY. internet comes back. i refresh. i have to read EIGHT PAGES of new posts. and page one is everyone arguing about whether the light blinked twice or three times. page two is someone named StorageShedSteve who i have never seen before in my life telling us all we're wrong. page three is a photo of a carpet. i scroll for twenty minutes. i finally get to the bottom and ElderProphet07's post is literally "as I have said elsewhere" - EVERYTHING I READ EIGHT PAGES FOR WAS A SUMMARY OF THE THING HE ALREADY SAID.

((bro this is why you need to save your place in the thread before you leave the computer, you KNOW we have one shared history and you keep losing your spot))

ANYWAY. here's my actual point. the modem light was AMBER. not green. amber. and i've spent the last hour thinking about whether amber is "between" green and red on some spiritual gradient or if it's literally just the manufacturer's cheap decision and my sister says "it's the comma between two sentences" and i said "it's the light that means dad needs to call the isp" and somehow we're STILL arguing about it.

the cat watched the whole thing without helping. thanks a lot, cat.
