Grammar_Vigil sounds like me and my brother Dave at Thanksgiving. He says "I done good" and I say "you done WELL" n he says "I know what I said" and we been doin that since 1983. Difference is I gave up and let him say it how he wants now lol. Feels like some hills aren't worth dyin on no matter how right you are . Least your brother writes a diary at all, thats more than most folks do. Beats my cousin Carol who uses "ain't" in every other sentence but shes the only one who knows where the Combs family bible is so I keep my mouth shut .
