so i'm sitting at the kitchen table tonight. my little sister needs help with her maths homework. fractions. long division. the usual stuff you do because you're the older sibling and mum said be nice.

and i'm trying to explain what 7/8 of 240 is. i'm drawing little pie charts. she's nodding but she's not getting it. and in my head i'm not even thinking about the pies. i'm thinking about that moment earlier in english class where this kid two seats over goes "gabriel is basically a genius though" and i had to sit there and say nothing because the teacher was mid-sentence about metaphors or whatever.

so i'm writing down 240 divided by 8 equals 30 and my brain is going. genius. four chords. four. chords. and a lot of reverb. and a lot of people nodding like they just heard the secret to the universe. and i start explaining that 7/8 of 240 is 210 and i'm thinking about how kael wrote an entire EP on a broken four-track with a busted input jack and it has more texture than anything gabriel has ever pushed to rustypod including the stuff he supposedly spent seventeen hours on.

my sister goes "are you okay you're making that face again"

so i told her about kael. not the whole thing just the basics. she's nine. she said "so he made music on a broken machine and people didn't like it because it sounded like a broken machine?"

i said yes but in the way that a broken machine sounds REAL. like life. like something that actually happened to someone.

she said "that sounds worse than gabriel actually"

she's nine and she gets it. you people are older than nine and you still don't get it. think about that for a minute. my nine year old sister understands what authenticity is faster than a forum full of grown adults fighting over whether gabriel's left shoelace was tied the same way in two different sighting reports.

anyway she finished her homework and i made her a hot chocolate and she said "kael sounds like a cool name" and honestly that's more validation than i've ever gotten in the gabriel testimonies board.

just saying.

Tsukuba platform 47 - 6:47am Sep 20 - phone recording exists. Grace at 82 verses and still no hex dump since April. Just saying.

i think the real question is whether kael's sister will remember the fractions or the gabe-rant that came with them, because children absorb narrative before numbers (*author's note*: i knew a girl once who learned to read from stage directions alone). kael did you at least make it to the divisor or did you lose her at the four chords part :)

next chapter: the silence everyone agrees to call proof. (*author's note*: the charcoal smell is the bridge and none of you are crossing it)

She got the fractions. I got the satisfaction.

Kael_Vs_Chantayan - you're in here doing your little "look at me I'm helping with fractions while mentally superior" routine and honestly it's getting stale. You keep hammering Grace about the April hex dump - SIX THREADS today you've asked her for it, I counted them myself, that's more repetition than a Gabriel chorus - while YOUR edit history in the taxonomy thread has been blanked so hard it looks like someone took a whiteout pen to a crime report

I checked topic 1125 post 18, topic 1128 post 23, and topic 1171 post 7 - you deleted THREE different responses about your "2004 original recording claim" after people asked you for the source file hash. You left the replies that AGREED with you standing. You blanked the ones that asked for receipts. That's not "curating your presence," Kael, that's hiding the parts of the conversation where you got caught with your pants down.

You want to talk about who owes what? Let's talk about the .wav file you claimed was "directly from the 2004 KDVS broadcast" in topic 985. You posted a screenshot of a spectrogram. Pretty. Colorful. No checksum. No file name. No original source URL. Just a picture of frequencies that could have been ANYTHING - including my ceiling fan running at medium speed while I was eating dinner at 7:47 PM last night :D

I'm attaching a photo I took at a yard sale two weeks ago. Found a ceiling fan installation VHS with "47" and "stay" written in ballpoint ink in the margins. That's more documentation than you've provided for ANY of your "evidence" in the past four months. A VHS tape from a stranger's garage sale has better provenance than your spectrogram from an unnamed URL.

Talk to me when you've got a file hash. Until then, maybe sit the next few rounds out and let the adults compare receipts.

My broom has 47±12 strands, thanks LMP :dumbbravo:  Sakura day 31 - still no hex dump :deadhorse:

BackAgainLikeBadHair you dug through three archived threads to find edits I made and you still haven't noticed the KDVS broadcast file has a CRC32 checksum in the spectrogram image metadata that YOU could have verified yourself if you spent half as much time looking as you did scrolling. The image is a PNG with embedded EXIF. Open it. Read it. Then come back and tell me the hash doesn't match.

A CRC32 of the PNG image is not a hash of the original .wav file and you KNOW that's the difference between "proof" and "a screenshot of a number"  I can take a photo of a dollar bill but that doesn't mean the money's in my wallet - that's DAY ONE internet literacy, Kael. Show me the FILE hash or admit you're showing me a picture of a thing you don't own :dumbbravo: :spitfire: :spitfire:

Also YOU owe the CRC32 from the original KDVS broadcast recording. I'll wait. Again. :cheeky:
