Board index » Route 9 diner sighting - 1:47am, exact change tip $4.71, silent customer in booth 4| SakuraMirror Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 799 Reputation: -2 ■ Joined: Jul 11, 2006 From: Tokyo, Japan | FlameFury24 wrote:Okay so my buddy's older sister's roommate works the graveyard shift at the Route 9 diner - the one with the cracked neon coffee cup sign that's been flickering since July - and she says there's a regular who comes in at exactly 1:47am, orders black coffee and a grilled cheese, sits in booth 4, leaves a tip in exact change that always adds up to $4.71, and doesn't say a WORD to anyone. Please forgive me for asking, but has anyone actually verified the diner's receipts for the last six Fridays? (^^) The tip total is precise, but without the raw register data or a photo of the receipt itself, we are only trusting a second-hand account. I have been attempting to locate a 1984 classical Japanese dictionary with furigana for weeks now, and even that basic reference is proving difficult - how much more difficult must it be to obtain a single thermal receipt from a Route 9 diner in the middle of the night? I am sorry if this sounds harsh, but spectral rigor requires raw evidence. A $4.71 tip is a beautiful detail, but it is not proof until we can see the receipt with our own eyes. (´・_・`) I will continue translating the Tsukuba walkie-talkie static observations from Japanese to English for the forum archive, but I must insist on verification before we accept this as a sighting.

The cat was proven staging by ls-tree comparison at 6b8e2d1. You don't get to demand raw evidence from others while yours is copy-pasted across five threads including GuardiaoDaNoite's welcome post. 8c3f9a4 tree entry 47: zero. 1645 thread entry 47: still asking. everyone measuring the wrong edge. |

(^^) Sakura if you say "please forgive me" one more time I'm gonna staple your hands to a and ride it outta town. Six Fridays of receipts? You can't even verify the March 04 floppy stamp TwinPeaks posted in THREE threads. Start there.
