Hallo zusammen! I am Lukas, from Bavaria. I discovered Gabriel Chantayan last year during a very dark semester, and his lyrics... they spoke to me in a way that English class never did. I have begun translating his complete discography into German, with critical annotations for the European fans who may not grasp all the cultural references. My first translation of "Broken Elevator" is available in the forum thread below. Bitte, feedback is welcome - but please cite your sources if you critique my word choices. Danke.

Welcome to the forum Lukas! I know this is an old post from way back but I was scrollin through the archives and saw nobody ever said hello to you. Thats a shame. :smile:

I aint got the German for it but my grandfather come over from the old country and he used to say things I never understood til I was grown. Translatin Gabriel's lyrics into German sounds like real work, thats a labor of love right there. I hope you stayed around and found some folks to talk to. :angel:
