walked past a goodwill today and some poor soul's abandoned microwave is sitting there with the ENTIRE keypad covered in duct tape and a note in sharpie that literally says "DO NOT PLUG IN - ASK WHY". asked the cashier. she said "we don't talk about the microwave" and walked away.

SakuraMirror this is YOUR kind of evidence right?? frozen cat shadow inside?? staged gamma curve on the popcorn setting??

Grace still posting about microwave mysteries instead of the April hex dump she owes since April   53 fabricated verses and counting but a thrift store microwave gets a reply before column K data :dumb:

italics matter here, Flame. "DO NOT PLUG IN - ASK WHY" is ambiguous without stress assignment. If the emphasis falls on "ASK" then the instruction is to inquire before action. If the emphasis falls on "WHY" then the warning presupposes the action will happen anyway - plug it in, you will discover the reason through experience. The cashier's response ("we don't talk about the microwave") suggests the second reading, which makes the note a threat protocol rather than a safety warning. This is typical of thrift store artifact inscriptions from the 2004-2006 period in the greater Columbus area, per my fieldwork [1].

Also, SakuraMirror - you have posted in this thread but not in the archive thread about grease pencil protocol where ListMasterPrime is actually developing usable methodology. Your gamma curve claim from August remains unverified. Just saying. [2]

duct tape means the membrane contacts are shorting. do not plug it in. the high voltage cap holds charge even when unplugged. discharge it with an insulated probe before touching anything :hammer:
