| DennisFromOhio Inner Circle ★★★★★   Posts: 653 Reputation: +12 ■■ Joined: Jun 14, 2006 From: Ohio, USA | i keep readin this thread and i dont understand why everyone is so worked up over a cheese receipt. ive been doin genealogy for 30 years and i can tell you that sometimes a piece of paper is just a piece of paper. but what i really care about is this - my grandma used to keep every single receipt she ever got, stuffed in a shoebox under her bed. when she passed we found them all, and we could trace her whole life through them. what she bought, where she went, what she was thinkin about that day. that gouda receipt from the 80s, if its real, it might tell us something about gabriel we dont know yet. but if the seller wont show the scan, then its just a story. my grandma always said dont buy a pig in a poke. and thats what this feels like. i wish somebody would just post the scan or stop talkin about it. i dont care about column K or the gamma curve or any of that spreadsheet stuff. i just want to know if the cheese is real, and if it is, what does it mean. sorry for goin on like this, i just get worked up about family records.
