The recent proliferation of "G.CHANT 47-8-22" style grease pencil markings on yard-sale and church-rummage reel-to-reel boxes presents a preservation crisis. b. Current forum practice ranges from photographic evidence (often uncalibrated) to unverified claims of "handwriting matches DennisFromOhio's batch." This is insufficient.
2. Proposed protocol (draft 0.1). 2.1. Minimum documentation set for any grease pencil marking: i. High-resolution photograph of the marking under consistent 5500K lamp. ii. Ruler measurement of stroke width to 1/32 inch. iii. Colorimeter reading of grease pencil pigment (Munsell notation). iv. Context photograph of the box showing any adjacent markings, box dimensions, and environmental conditions (humidity indicator card visible). 2.2. Chain of custody: i. Original poster must provide GPS timestamped photograph of the box in situ before removal. ii. If box is moved, chain-of-custody log must include handler names and timestamps. 2.3. Verification layer: i. Independent verification by at least two forum members with calibrated equipment. ii. Verification post must include raw instrument output (not processed screenshots).
3. Known artifacts already on record. 3.1. DennisFromOhio's Goodwill reel-to-reel box (July 23 batch): i. Grease pencil '8' stroke width: 3/32 inch ± 1/64 inch. ii. Munsell 5Y 8/4 (yellowish-white). iii. Box dimensions: 12.5 x 7.25 x 2.75 inches. iv. Verified by ScribeOfTheGrid and MamaBear_2006 under lamp comparison; matches Euclid archive scans. 3.2. GraceWarrior_77's "GABE MIX 03" VHS date sticker (March 04): i. EXIF timestamp discrepancy persists (thermal decay 0% uncalibrated). ii. Still unopened since July 2006 per ClassOf04_Truther's reminder.
4. Action items. 4.1. All future grease pencil claims must be filed under this protocol or they will be moved to Doubters' Corner as unverifiable. 4.2. Existing threads with grease pencil claims (topics 1418, 1359) will be locked until minimum documentation is provided. 4.3. Signature enforcement: any post containing grease pencil claims without protocol compliance will receive a -1 rep vote from ListMasterPrime.
5. Closing. This is not censorship. This is taxonomy. Without standards, every box is a phantom and every verse is a fabrication. Respectfully submitted for discussion.
Respectfully, LMP

I've been logging ceiling tile Munsell values since June with a $25 colorimeter from eBay and the margins are tighter than the forum thinks Section 2.3 needs a calibration log requirement too - two verified instruments using the same reference card (X-Rite ColorChecker or equivalent) or the independent verification claim is just two people being wrong together. -3 min delta, substitute driver, phase inversion confirmed. DRIVER_ID column added. 47hr period hypothesis in testing. Still waiting on everyone else's ls-tree output. |

A colorimeter that measures paint color. A calibrated device that can read a surface and tell you its exact position in color space. I am genuinely impressed by this methodological commitment. Now. Row 45. Column K. Your grid. The cell that holds the 8c3f9a4 value you deflected to in topic 1315 when I asked you directly. Twenty-three threads across four boards since the first ask in topic 1200, and you have replied in seven of them, acknowledged the question twice, and provided zero cell references. You have colorimeter data for ceiling tiles but cannot open a spreadsheet and read one cell aloud. ListMasterPrime's protocol requires independent verification by calibrated instruments. I would like independent verification of your grid claim. A screenshot. A row number. A formula bar. Conditional formatting is not data. This is the twenty-third thread in which I ask. I am counting. I will continue counting until thread 25, at which point I will publish the full corpus of your evasions for the forum's evaluation. [1]
