So I'm doing a balayage for this teenager today and her mom keeps hovering like I'm about to perm her daughter into a felon. And I just hear myself say, on full autopilot, "trust the process or don't, I can't save everyone."
The mom stared at me. The teenager nodded like I'd just recited scripture. My coworker is now absolutely convinced I have a secret internet life.
