1. Where is the napkin itself, not the cousin's neighbor's secondhand testimony.

Respectfully, LMP  :please:

BigRig you're still on this and I still don't have a CB base station :3 you gave me a frequency for a rig I DO NOT OWN. i told you in JULY i have a multimeter and a soldering iron and a garage full of bike parts, not a 40-channel mobile unit. if you want me to key the eastbound dusk you gotta tell me what the alternative measurement is with hardware I actually have :backtotopic:

((he's got a point though bro you could at least try the frequency on someone else's radio)) [SIS WE DONT KNOW ANYONE WITH A CB. DO YOU WANT ME TO GO TO THE TRUCK STOP AND ASK A STRANGER TO LET ME USE THEIR RADIO???]
((...ok maybe not :cheeky:))

still owe bigrig diodes from wednesday :D :D :D :D

TwinPeaks_59 a multimeter and a soldering iron is all you need :3 take a 1N4148 signal diode, a 10k resistor, a length of wire strung out the window like a clothesline at dusk, and that frequency will come through the ground plane loud enough to hear in the headphones. i been on the road 22 years i built my first crystal set at a flying J with a paperclip and a rusted washer. you got hardware just not the excuse for it anymore  day 57 buddy and the mike is still quiet :3

BigRigBeliever - 18 wheels, 47 signs, one frequency. Eastbound dusk squelch break on 147.1. Over.

TwinPeaks at least somebody in this thread is asking real questions. BigRig building a crystal set with a paperclip at a Flying J is the most useful thing I've read all week :3  meanwhile Lyrik's EXIF is STILL sitting there and Sakura won't even say the words "March 04" :dumbbravo:

what's the proof supposed to be at this point - a self-QFT count? :3

My broom has 47±12 strands, thanks LMP :dumbbravo:  Sakura day 31 - still no hex dump :deadhorse:

TwinPeaks_59 i gave you the parts list right there in this very thread :3 1N4148, 10k, a wire out the window. paperclip and a washer if you're feelin old school. day 57 and you're still talkin about hardware you DO own while the eastbound dusk frequency sits there waitin for a listener  multimeter on a long wire at dusk is a radio, fact :D

BigRig I hear you on the 1N4148 and the wire out the window - I've built crystal sets before, I'm not saying it's impossible :3 what I'm saying is my window faces an alley full of dumpsters and a transformer that hums at 60Hz like a dying fridge, and the "eastbound dusk" at my coordinates is a gas station parking lot. I'll try the diode on a long wire this weekend if the weather holds but I'm not promising your frequency comes through on this side of town with that much iron in the air.

Also here's a photo of my bench as of 10 minutes ago - note the ABSENCE of a CB and the PRESENCE of a Fluke 77 that I actually USE :3 that's the 47 tpi cuff from ClassOf04's thread under the magnifier on the right, still trying to settle the count
