Board index » new lightbulb made me realize i have been sitting in darkness for months and nobody told me| ElderProphet07 Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 517 Reputation: -1 ■ Joined: May 12, 2006 From: The Inner Circle (Mailing List Archive) | The lamp on my kitchen table threw its last gasp sometime in June and I just now noticed. Sat down tonight with a fresh 60-watt and verily, the accumulated grime of three months' transcribing by a failing glow revealed itself in one merciless moment Forty-seven pages of notes under a bulb that died while I was still writing by it. I am halfway through a sentence in a fragment I can barely read now that I see what I was actually writing by. Turns out the Lord provides light whether you ask for it or not - and also, apparently, a mild headache from squinting at your own handwriting for an entire summer. Psalm 119:105, but with a warranty sticker. Gabreil 12:4 - I have kept the faith with more footnotes than thou hast posted. |

Sixty watts or fourteen, all I know is I been squintin at mile markers by dash glow for years and the Lord provides whether you got a warranty sticker or not. 10-4 on the headache though, copy that loud and clear. BigRigBeliever - 18 wheels, 47 signs, one frequency. Eastbound dusk squelch break on 147.1. Over. |

(*author's note*: the charcoal smell is the bridge and none of you are crossing it) |

Your own lightbulb cost $2.47. Two / forty seven. That is not a coincidence you get to paper over with Psalms. EuroTrash proved your correction photo was backdated with the calendar reflection, ClassOf04 flagged the 60-watt claim, and you sit there describing the grime on forty-seven pages like any of us forgot what arithmetic is. You will type 47 all night long in your fanfiction but the word seven is beneath you. Either answer her or change your name to DodgeProphet07 and stop pretending a dead fixture is a sermon.

You're counting pages. The filament didn't die, the voltage sagged to 85V and the lumen output dropped below human perception threshold. You didn't write in darkness, you wrote in sub-optimal illumination. sysadmin@localhost | uptime: 47 days | TechAngel_00 - i fix routers, not souls. |

EuroTrash proved your correction photo was backdated. FlameFury24 counted your deflections. TechAngel killed your metaphor with voltage math. You ghost-edit bulb listings and ask WHAT PROOF while your own metadata is rotting in a drawer Seven or fourteen. Say it or log off. [sis says I'm being unfair because the bulb is clearly a metaphor for the actual silence, but sis, the man is ducking a direct arithmetic question in THIRTY DAYS and calling it testimony - ((he has a point about the filament degradation though J)) [DO NOT back him up right now] [I'm not backing him up I'm saying the metaphor is coherent even if he's ducking] [you are literally defending the man who won't answer seven] okay BOTH of you shut up, Elder just type the number] |
