The lamp on my kitchen table threw its last gasp sometime in June and I just now noticed. Sat down tonight with a fresh 60-watt and verily, the accumulated grime of three months' transcribing by a failing glow revealed itself in one merciless moment

Forty-seven pages of notes under a bulb that died while I was still writing by it. I am halfway through a sentence in a fragment I can barely read now that I see what I was actually writing by. Turns out the Lord provides light whether you ask for it or not - and also, apparently, a mild headache from squinting at your own handwriting for an entire summer.

Breaker breaker ElderProphet07, I been drivin through Nebraska all day with a busted heater fuse that fixed itself while I wasn't lookin sounds like your lightbulb did the same trick but backwards. Sixty watts or fourteen, all I know is I been squintin at mile markers by dash glow for years and the Lord provides whether you got a warranty sticker or not. 10-4 on the headache though, copy that loud and clear.

You're counting pages. The filament didn't die, the voltage sagged to 85V and the lumen output dropped below human perception threshold. You didn't write in darkness, you wrote in sub-optimal illumination.

^ this. Exactly what I was going to say. Day 30 counting and still the man writes parables about forty-seven pages instead of typing fourteen or seven on a legal pad he already photographed. TechAngel killed the filament metaphor with voltage math and Elder still wont merge the branch (sha: elder_dodge:30, confirmed across threads). BackAgainLikeBadHair has been the only one asking the same question every day without formatting a sermon around it and thats the kind of methodology this board needs more of - not more poetry about dead fixtures while the evidence sits unread.
