ok so me and my sister have been going at it all day about the new single and i need a third opinion (or a forty-seventh, this forum has enough opinions for everyone)

she says the bridge is clearly about impermanence dressed as a love song - the architecture of the verse collapsing into the chorus like grief you cant outrun ((see he gets it, the harmonic tension resolves into emptiness not resolution)) [i said "the vibes are the emotion" not "the architecture of longing before coffee" - that was YOU at 8am, i was still waking up]

i say the guy just wanted a beat that slaps and the bridge is there because songs have bridges and it hits because the drums come back in after the drop, not because of some philosophical statement about the void. musicians do things because they SOUND good not because they MEAN something with every snare hit

im not buying it elder... "what have you got that proves intent" from the man who hasnt opened my 2003 cuff photo in four months you can draw all the waveforms you want but you wont double click a sewing gauge reading of 47 tpi on a denim cuff from Euclid... tell me what the proof is supposed to be when you wont even look at it, and meanwhile youre in here judging someone else's drum fill like its the missing hash. you probably dont believe me but its true

not buying the "impermanence" stretch without raw audio proof what's the timestamp on the bridge itself

TwinPeaks_59, I been around long enough to know a drum fill ain't never once been about impermanence, it's about the coffee break after but you know what's REALLY impermanent? a fella who'll post in every thread on the board but won't key the eastbound dusk frequency when his number gets called.
