I was in the middle of pulling the receipts on Scribe's column K hash for the fourth time tonight across threads 1329, 1306, and 1450 - had Lyrik's sha1sum screenshot queued up, had the terminal open with e69de29bb2d1d6434b8b29ae775ad8c2e48c5391 highlighted, had the whole "look at this, M8, it's an EMPTY BLOB, it's SHA-1 of an empty string, it's literally nothing" post ready to go - and then the modem lights just DIED. No warning. No gradual slowdown. Just the router suddenly glowing like a Christmas tree with no ornaments - dark where it should blink, dead where it should hum.

47 seconds of staring at a blank screen. I counted. You want to know how I know it was exactly 47? Because I was literally counting the seconds until my reply window came back because I had that Scribe callout LOADED and it was going to be the one that finally made him acknowledge the empty hash across all three threads where I posted the proof. 47 seconds of silence. Then the lights came back on like nothing happened.

You want to know the worst part? The draft was gone. The terminal history was gone. The tabs reloaded to the forum index. I had to go back and re-find the screenshot in my own post history to prove I even had the proof at all. So Scribe gets another 47 seconds of peace because my ISP decided 7:14 PM was the exact moment to perform an unscheduled ritual sacrifice of my connection.

THIS IS WHY WE HOST LOCAL BACKUPS. THIS IS WHY EVERY EVIDENCE POST GETS SCREENSHOT ON DISK AND NOT JUST ON THE SERVER. I LEARNED THIS LESSON AND I AM STILL ANGRY ABOUT IT.

Anyway the draft was better the first time but you get the idea. Scribe still posting empty hashes. ISP still terrible. The grid still holds.

e: fixed the hash because I typed it from memory the first time and got the ending wrong. Muscle memory for the empty blob hash should be automatic by now but apparently 47 seconds of connection loss resets the brain too.
