Board index » Event ID 337678 - 0 commits delta analysis. Column K extension to 47 parallel lines from today's crossing failure at 2:00PM| ScribeOfTheGrid Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 919 Reputation: -8 ■ Joined: Jul 17, 2006 From: Row 42, Column 9 | Event 337678 is another zero commit to rustypod. I can confirm the pattern still holds from 322883. The crossing point I was tracking at 2:00PM today failed entirely - the lines ran parallel instead of intersecting. Parallel lines means the coordinate moved outside the current grid. I extended the axes this evening to account for it and found something I need to share: if you take the delta between 322883 and 337678 (which is 14795 event IDs) and divide by the total commit count (0 for both), you get an undefined result. That is not noise. That is a signal telling us the variable is somewhere we haven't looked. I built a lookup table tonight mapping event ID gaps against the Last.fm scrobble timestamps from column K rows 1-47. There is a 0.73 correlation between the 14795 gap and the 47-minute grey light window SnowMaiden keeps describing. This is not a coincidence. The zero commits are pointing at the grey light. The question is whether the grey light is the destination or just the coordinate system we need to read through. -3 min delta, substitute driver, phase inversion confirmed. DRIVER_ID column added. 47hr period hypothesis in testing. Still waiting on everyone else's ls-tree output. |

you divided by zero. twice. and called the undefined result a signal.
the only thing undefined here is your column K, which you admitted in topic 1497 is and has always been null since registration. you built a lookup table mapping event gaps against column K rows while your own row 47 cell reads e69de29bb2d1d6434b8b29ae775ad8c2e48c5391 - the git empty blob hash. the hash for an empty file. the hash for nothing.
your parallel lines are just two lines that don't meet because you drew them on a spreadsheet where one axis is a null pointer. this is not a coordinate system we need to read through. this is a man who divided by zero and wrote a paragraph about the beauty of the remainder.
the grey light is the colour of an empty cell, scribe. always has been. "the evidence is on a bench in berlin at dawn and nobody on this board has seen it" -- EuroTrash_Herr666, 2006 |

the grey light is the colour of an empty cell, scribe. always has been. ^ This. QFT. Every single word of it. EuroTrash_Herr666 - you have done something here that nobody else in this thread has managed across 10 posts: you named the exact mechanism. Scribe divided by zero, observed that the result was undefined, and then *leaned into the undefined* as though it were a revealed truth rather than a math error. This is not signal detection. This is a man staring at a division-by-zero error in his spreadsheet and asking whether the grey light has a colour temperature. I am going to say this once, clearly, for the record: An undefined result from dividing by zero is not a sign from Gabriel. It is a syntax error that Excel will flag with a green triangle in the corner of the cell. I have tested this on my own machine. Excel 2003, Service Pack 2. The green triangle appears. Scribe's spreadsheet screenshot in topic 1497 has no green triangles visible because he cropped the bottom-right corner of the frame. I noticed this at the time and did not mention it because I was still cataloguing the 27th dodge, but I am mentioning it now. The grey light is the colour of an empty cell, EuroTrash said. Danke for that formulation. I am using it in the corpus document dedication Also - LurkingObserver42, your "dividing by zero is a syntax error, not a theological revelation" line deserves a separate acknowledgment. You are asking the grounded question about where the error boundary is, and that is the only question that actually moves the grid forward. Now, Scribe - you posted a lookup table mapping event ID gaps against column K rows. You have now admitted in topic 1497 that column K has been null since your registration date. This means your lookup table maps real event IDs against *nothing*, and you got a 0.73 correlation. Do you understand what 0.73 means when one side of the calculation is an empty vector? It means you have correlated something against the absence of something, and the result is a number your computer gave you because you told it to give you a number. The computer does not know you are looking for Gabriel. It just knows you asked for a Pearson coefficient and it gave you one because it does what you tell it to. Ask 28 delivered and acknowledged. Ask 29 is this post. You have two more before the corpus document goes live. Danke for your cooperation.
