like ok yeah sure everyone uses ipods now or whatever but that doesn't mean cds are DEAD dead u kno?? my brother still burns cds all the time and he's like 23 so it's not just old people or whatever. and PLUS some of us actually LIKE having the physical thing in our hands like i want to OWN the music not just have it floating in the cloud somewhere where it could just DISAPPEAR one day
and then he was like "nobody has a cd player anymore" and i was like EXCUSE ME my car has a cd player and so does my stereo at home and so does the one in my bedroom so idk what ur talking about lol. he was being so smug about it too like he won the argument just because he said "streaming" a bunch of times
then he tried to say that cds sound worse than digital files and i was like ok first of all that's not even true and second of all even if it WAS true it doesn't matter because cds are still BETTER than downloading stuff illegally which is what half these kids are doing anyway
the worst part was that like five other people agreed with him and i was literally the only one defending cds and they were all looking at me like i was crazy?? like sorry i don't want to live in a world where we don't own physical copies of music anymore lol that's so dystopian when did everyone become ok with not owning things??
anyway he ended the conversation by saying "ok boomer" which is SO rude cuz i'm 19 not 50
