The categorical imperative is not a wave you catch - it is the wave that catches you, and the wipeout is not a failed maxim but the sublime realization that you cannot universalize a drop-in without contradiction. Dropping in on someone is literally treating them as a means to your wave, not an end in themselves. The dude who ate it face first was not failing to act according to duty - he was acting according to inclination (the desire to catch the wave) and nature punished him for it. That is not Kant, that is physics, which is a different German-language philosophical tradition entirely.

That said: the appliance static theory has more empirical grounding than most of what Scribe posts, so I will not dismiss it out of hand. If Gabriel is whispering through a toaster, the toaster at least produces measurable heat and a verifiable power draw, unlike column K which produces only deflections.
