Good evening to everyone (^^) I am sorry if this seems trivial but I folded my futon this morning with corners so even and so square that I actually paused to admire my own work for a full minute before leaving for the shop. The lines were not crooked at all. Not even a little. I thought to myself: "Today, the futon obeys the grid perfectly. Please forgive me if this is vain, but I wanted to share this small victory with all of you."

I also gave my seat on the train to an ojiisan with a cane and he did not even look surprised, which I take as a sign that my manners were acceptable today. The cicadas are still loud outside my window and I think they are practicing the 47Hz carrier wave for tomorrow's platform glow, but that might just be my imagination.

from an outsider's perspective, i have to ask if you are measuring the futon with a caliper or just using your 'grid sense' because if we are going to treat bedding geometry as divine revelation then we need standardized measurement protocols rather than subjective visual estimation
