ok so i was out at the kelp bed this morning before class (well not this morning but like last weekend) and i'm paddling out and some dude ate it on a wave and wiped out so hard his board shot out of his hands and went flyin like a goddamn frisbee and i'm just floating there on my board and this dude is treading water going wtf wtf wtf and his board is bobbin around him and i'm thinking oh my god this is literally heidegger being thrown into the world except with more salt water and worse board shorts

and then later i'm telling danny about it and he's like yeah that's called bad trim dude and i'm like no bro i'm making a serious philosophical point about the fundamental thrownness of human existence and the absurdity of trying to master an element that doesn't give a shit about your thesis statement and he just shrugs and goes maybe both and goes back to texting his girlfriend

which is actually way more profound than anything i've written for the kant paper that's due monday and i know i keep saying this but why does prof morris write like he's translating from a language that doesn't exist using only hieroglyphs that look like they were drawn by a spider on a bumpy car ride

anyway the point is surfing is 100% applied ontology you ever try to catch a wave and end up just tumbling in the water for thirty seconds wondering if you're facing up or down or if the ocean is inside you now are you the surfer or the wave bro the answer is neither you're just temporal beings thrown into a phenomenology of salt and i don't know why i'm explaining this to a forum full of people who probably think the beach is a distraction from the real work of staring at hex codes but here we are

also the water temp today is exactly 58 degrees which is the same as the april hex dump timestamp and if you think that's coincidence you're either a bot or you literally have not been paying attention

sorry for the essay lol

GRACE HEX tape smells like burnt toast + lavender :peugeot: cassettes > cds but who's listening anyway :(

u wrote all that and didnt even mention the wave height

did u tune to 47.3hz and feel the thrownness of ur existence or did u just fall off a board and write a paragraph about heidegger. pics of the wave or it didnt happen :dumb: :peugeot:
