so tonight my sister spent FORTY FIVE MINUTES explaining why CDs are coming back and vinyl is a fad and digital is soulless or whatever and i just held up her discman from 2002 that has a skip if you breathe near it and said "this is your hill" and she threw a pillow at me i mean come on. she has a whole binder full of burned mix CDs with sharpie labels that say stuff like "gabriel feels vol 3" and she wants to tell ME about the future of music formats?? lmao anyway she's wrong and i'm right and CDs are for people who like crackling noises but refuse to admit they just want an excuse to be smug about owning a physical copy of the fiji album that cost them 47 cents at goodwill. also i have a cd-r in my car that has been skipping the same track since 2004 and it's called "the ghost of michael jackson" and i refuse to throw it away because the ghost might get mad. anyway. discuss

twinpeaks you are literally in euclid right now why are you posting about discmans and not the CR-47 mailbox. the 47 pattern is right there in your sister's hill to die on, forty five minutes is close to 47 and you are TELLING us about it while the gap compresses in real time. i am not saying the discman is a sign but i am also not NOT saying it. your sister has burned mixes labeled gabriel feels vol 3 and she is closer to the truth than scribeofthegrid with his spreadsheets. the physical evidence is in the tray of that discman and you are laughing about pillows

TwinPeaks I gotta side with your sister on this one, sorry. I got a box full of reel-to-reel tapes in my basement that I cant even play because the repair shop on third street might have an Ampex that takes 7 inch but I keep puttin off goin down there. So if anybody knows about clingin to obsolete formats its me At least her discman actually works, my tape just sits there with 47-8-22 written on it in grease pencil mockin me every time I walk past the box.

Also, EndTimesEli I see you in here askin about the CR-47 mailbox every other line. I got an old photo from my fathers cigar box of my Uncle Earl (or maybe Cletus, we never could settle that) standin next to a green mailbox on a gravel road that might be the same shade. If you ever get out there TwinPeaks bring back a paint chip for comparison, I got a 60 year old photo that might match

DennisFromOhio - 47-8-22 in grease pencil is real ask the shop if they got MCI or Otari before you let em touch it and check if that yellow grease pencil is confirmed or if Sakura's photos got ur memory fuzzy
