a small finding but not a small finding. the transcript reads "the road" and the printed lyric says "that road." this changes the entire referential field from definite article (assumed shared knowledge) to demonstrative (pointing, present, urgent). i spent my lunch at the Union on this instead of the turkey sandwich which was - fine. adequate. but this is more nourishing.

v.1.0 of the deixis note will follow once i cross-check the US edition of the album booklet. has anyone else noticed this discrepancy in other interview transcripts? i have a list of twelve others with similar article/demonstrative divergence if anyone wants the full scan.

"six tangerines, zero commits, 31 threads with no cell reference" - v. 2.4 :D
