I don't usually tell this part but I took that photo with the actual camera I had in 2003 - one of those old Kodak digitals that took three seconds to save each shot and you couldn't see the preview until you plugged it into the computer. The battery was ALMOST dead when I got the cuff in frame and I remember thinking "please hold on just one more shot" and it DID. It held on. The battery stayed red long enough for me to get the weave visible at the edge of the frame where the light hit it just right... you probably don't believe me but that's the kind of thing that happens when you're documenting something real instead of collecting empty hashes in a spreadsheet that nobody asked for
