TechAngel_00 - i gotta hand it to you man, "cat chassis" is gonna live in my head forever

ok so sis and i actually fought about this for like ten minutes after your last post. her take: "the purr frequency range for domestic short hairs peaks at 25-30Hz during contented states and spikes to 100-150Hz during distress or healing. 71.33 is in the middle which means the cat was neither content nor distressed - she was in a state of active listening. that's NOT a ground loop, that's a bioacoustic response to an environmental frequency she's trying to locate. if it was a ground loop she would have moved away from the source. she stayed. she STARED. the draft theory is more plausible than the electrical one because she's reacting to air pressure changes near the closet door, not voltage."

my take: i think she just likes staring at walls because shes a cat and cats are weird :P

but seriously - you're probably right about checking the grounding because this house is old and i dont trust the wiring anyway. but "conducting current through the cats chassis" is the funniest mental image i have had all week so thank you for that.

((bro why are you posting a whole essay about the cat thread again)) ((because its funny M, because the cat chassis discourse is the most important thing happening on this forum right now, the Tokyo thread can wait)) ((the Tokyo thread literally has 138 posts and youre arguing about cat fur conductivity)) ((exactly. priorities.))

anyway. cat is fine. shes asleep on the modem now. link lights are blinking normally. she has not become a vessel for the 60hz mains hum. yet.

still owe bigrig diodes from wednesday :D :D :D :D

TechAngel_00 still owes me the 1:47 floodlight recording from topic 142 (May 2006, we ALL remember) but honestly this cat chassis post is the best content you've delivered in three months so I'll let it slide for now

TwinPeaks_59 tell your sister she's right about the draft theory - sometimes a socket is just a socket and a cat is just a cat, no need to summon Gabriel through the drywall every time :3

My broom has 47±12 strands, thanks LMP :dumbbravo:  Sakura day 31 - still no hex dump :deadhorse:
