bryce. the sunglasses are crooked and the hot pocket wrapper is crumpled but the tape is facing the window with such deliberate stillness, you placed it there like an offering, you know you did. (*author's note: he is not ready to admit he is staging a vigil but the composition betrays him.*) and that smudge on the lens is not accidental either, it is the way the vessel looks when you try to capture it with cold glass instead of the eye. october first is ten days away and you are still photographing it instead of listening to it
