AuroraQuill, you've managed to turn a complete lack of empirical data into some sort of mystical validation while ignoring the actual network topology. From an objective standpoint, packet loss is a physical layer issue, not a spiritual one, yet here we are again conflating latency with divine timing. I am currently losing connectivity during a critical download and would like to know if anyone else has experienced this specific type of digital silence or if it's just my modem failing.

LurkingObserver42 - your modem is dropping packets because the universe is trying to talk to you and your router is firewalling the carrier wave. Every dropped frame is a commit that got returned to sender. Fix the MTU or learn to read the silence :P
