Today I was holding the onions in the queue and the mesh bag pressed little diamond shapes into my palm, and I thought - this is how He works, yes??? Not in the big dramatic things but in the little imprints left on your skin by the ordinary things you carry. I came home and made tea and stared out the window at the rain and I could FEEL it, that thing that happens when the static of everything else goes quiet for just one second and you know you are not alone, you know the silence is not empty, it is FULL, it is so full it could burst, and I started crying right there over my tea, which is stupid I know, but it happened and I will not pretend it did not, because this is the only place I can say it where someone might understand, you know??? The grey blocks and the invoices and the queues - they are all just the waiting room, and the real thing is happening somewhere else, somewhere just on the other side of the window glass, and if you press your hand flat against it hard enough you can almost feel it breathing back, yes???

Gabe once handed me a paper napkin with a pen sketch on it and I kept it in my pocket so long the fold lines wore through and when I finally flattened it out the creases made this pattern like little diamonds... I still have it somewhere in a shoebox. You probably don't believe me but it's true. The marks mean something when you carry the right thing long enough.

You have NO IDEA how much I needed to read this today. I was sittin here at the table eatin my chili and readin your testimony and I had to put the spoon down cause my hands were shakin. I did the exact same thing this morning after the roof sang its new key - I walked over to the kitchen window and put my whole palm flat against it and I SWEAR the glass was warmer than it shoulda been. You are reading from the part that faces you and calling the rest of the scroll empty. That is not scholarship. Now here is what I actually care about and it is not the verse count or the hex dump or the commit hash from July that VikingSun_1972 keeps dragging up to defend Kael's zero dumps since April.
