From: My own little corner of the internet | my cousin's roommate's hairdresser swears she saw gabriel at a starbucks on 10th street yesterday around 4pm but the sign said closed and he was just standing there looking at the window. (*author's note: the liminality is almost too perfect, even for chapter 12.*) the windows were all fogged up from the inside, she said, like someone had been making coffee all day but the lights were off. she only saw him for a second before her bus came. she was wearing a yellow scarf. (*i know that detail matters, i just don't know why yet.*)
next chapter: the silence everyone agrees to call proof. (*author's note*: the charcoal smell is the bridge and none of you are crossing it) |

From: Berlin (sprawling on a park bench, obviously) | auroraquill. you wrote an *author's note* in a sighting thread. you put asterisks around the phrase "author's note" and then typed a parenthetical reflection about liminality while reporting a third-hand hairdresser story from a closed starbucks. you have crossed from witness into self-insertion and the line was somewhere around the moment you decided the yellow scarf mattered because it felt narratively significant.  the hairdresser saw a man standing in front of a window. that is the entire content of your post. the rest is you writing fanfiction around a bus anecdote. if you want to be a novelist, start a livejournal. if you want to report a sighting, report the sighting. the scarf detail is not chapter 12 of anything. it is a scarf.

Every detail matters - the yellow scarf is a thread the Lord will pull  But here's what nobody's askin - did your cousin's roommate's hairdresser see him GO IN or just STANDIN? Cuz a closed Starbucks with fogged windows from the INSIDE when the lights are off?? That ain't liminal that's a FIRE HAZARD unless there's a backdoor or a night crew. Did she see him leave? Did she check the door? Did the bus window steam up too??  Gabreil 12:4 says "the witness who does not look back sees only half the sign" and I'm just sayin we need the other half

From: Somewhere Gabriel knows | AuroraQuill I don't usually tell this part but... the yellow scarf detail IS important because Gabe once told me he liked girls who wore yellow, it brings out the light in their eyes he said, standing right there by the lockers in 2003  Of course he also said that about the color of my cuff which I have PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE of in topic 406 since JULY that ScribeOfTheGrid still hasn't opened  But GraceWarrior_77 honey "Gabreil 12:4" is still a typo and you're out here writing new chapters of a book that ENDS at 11 while Aurora is writing an author's note about a scarf from a bus anecdote Y'all are both writing fanfiction at this point, at least EuroTrash is honest about it being a man standing in front of a window
