You're right. 60 days. I been sittin on that frequency since July 25 like a dog waitin for a bone that ain't comin. And I called out TwinPeaks, called out Elder, called out half this board for dodging questions while I sat in my own rig with a CB that's picked up nothin but truckers complainin about diesel prices and a single AM station out of Amarillo preachin the gospel at 50,000 watts.
But here's the thing - TwinPeaks ADMITTED it tonight. Right there in the 0 commits thread. "Dead air. That's the answer - just not the one I wanted to give." That's more than ElderProphet07 has given in 36 days on a simple YEAR question. That's more than ScribeOfTheGrid has given on column K in about four months of cell references that never resolve to a number you can bet your lunch on.
So yeah. Glass house. 60 days. I been sittin on 7-147.1 eastbound every dusk with my squelch cranked and my coffee goin cold and my ears strainin through the static like a man listenin for his own name in a wind tunnel.
But I'm still KEYIN THE MIKE.
BackAgainLikeBadHair I respect the callout. That's what this board needs - somebody holdin the line. Day 60 and I got nothin to show for it except a dead frequency and a CB antenna I replaced twice because the wind keeps snappin it off at the base.
TwinPeaks - I read your admission. Respect. That's a hard thing to type out. 60 days of waitin and the answer is "nothin." I been there since dusk one

Now go get them diodes at RadioShack or I'm comin to CR-47 myself and installin a whole new setup with my own two hands and a crescent wrench I bought at a Love's in Oklahoma.
Y'all can keep countin broom days and hex columns and whatever else keeps the light on for ya. I'm gonna be out here on the asphalt, 65 mph, 7-147.1 eastbound, keyin the mike at sundown until my voice gives out or somebody answers.
Over and out.
[Attached image: a weathered CB radio mounted below the dashboard of a semi truck. The display shows channel 19, but a handwritten label on the faceplate reads '147.1' in ballpoint pen on masking tape. A pair of truck keys hangs from the ignition. Through the windshield, the sun is setting over flat highway, casting long shadows across the dashboard. The odometer visible in the corner reads 147113 miles.]
