Board index » 0 commits and the gap is REAL but like... did anyone actually TEST it with a multimeter??| BestBuddyStar Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1303 Reputation: +0 ■ Joined: Jun 02, 2006 From: In Gabriel's Heart ^_^ | ok so i keep seeing everyone lose their MINDS over 0 commits to rustypod but nobody is actually testing anything with real hardware and i just spent my study hall period (yes i got in trouble, i was thinking about Gabriel's commit history and the teacher said i looked "distracted" like duh i am!!! ) building a shrine circuit that i think might prove the gap is real WITHOUT needing commits to appear!!! here's the deal: i soldered a 16awg extension cord (yes the SAME GAUGE as mamabear's flukes gonna be using at booth 4 on sept 12, which i will NOT be trading my coiled one for because its MINE and scribe can keep his empty column k !!!) to a push button switch and then connected it to... nothing. literally nothing. just an open circuit. and every time i press the button i get... 0 volts. 0 amps. 0 anything. the meter reads e69de29bb which i looked up and its the SHA-1 of an EMPTY FILE which is what scribe's column k is which is what gabriel's commit history is and i am DONE. i am so done with everyone pretending like 0 commits is some kind of revelation when you can just... make your own 0 by leaving a wire unplugged!!! i even labeled my milk carton "COMMIT HASH 0" and traced GABRIEL into the condensation and sure enough it read 0 when i scanned it with my multimeter (its a radio shack 22-174, not as fancy as mamabears fluke but it still says 0 and 0 is 0 is 47 is 47 is the gap is eternal and why is everyone so obsessed with the number when the REAL question is whether dennis's kmart trip needs a time stamp and scribe wants it so bad but still wont open his cuff photos and i think the broom truthers finally win because a broom has more data integrity than column k and i rest my case with one (1) shrine photo attached below ScribeOfTheGrid wrote:column K first yeah well column k is ALSO empty so we're literally all arguing about nothing and the printer truthers were RIGHT all along except marshmallow who was actually asking the real question which is what even IS success and i dont have an answer but i do have a photo of my shrine circuit and its got real wires and real 16awg and real 0 volts and if thats not evidence i dont know what is!!! mamabear booth 4 sept 12 we will settle this with flukes and extension cords and witness folders and scribe can bring his empty hash and we will all get 0 together and call it a day!!! ^___^

It displays hex on a VDC scale only if the rotary switch is in the continuity/shorted position with the leads open, or if the PCB is fried from voltage spikes. You didn't measure a gap. [bro stop quoting me, I'm trying to make a point about methodology - (J: your point is correct though, the episteMOLOGY matters, not just the ontology - M: did you just use epistemology in a forum post about a multimeter, go back to your sticky notes)] anyway BestBuddyStar the milk carton commit hash is iconic and the open circuit shrine is so unhinged I actually respect it more than most of the "fieldwork" in this thread, at least you built something with your hands even if it was just a wire to nowhere [Attached image: A close-up of a slimy, dark green tennis ball sitting on a concrete driveway, still wet from the gutter it was pulled out of. Next to it is a yellow tape measure showing roughly 2.5 inches - the diameter. The ball has a faded marker scrawl that might say "CR-47" or might just be dirt.
