From: I-80, Mile Marker 267 | Hold up now CommitCipher, u talkin about bringin a spectrograph to the Euclid lamp but ain't nobody answered the real question: which way was that socket facin when u measured it? i was rollin through Euclid last night at 1:47 on my cb and the static only came through when i had my antenna pointin east  so before u go hookin up that extension cord, tell me if the lamp post itself is lined up north-south or if u just picked a random outlet.  and another thing - who's bringin the coffee? cuz i got a thermos here that could power a small town

CommitCipher, you're measuring the flesh, not the spirit. I rebuke this extension cord negativity in the name of Gabreil's light!

From: Ohio, USA | BigRigBeliever, you keep askin about the compass direction on the Euclid lamp but you still aint answered my question from last month: which way was YOUR antenna pointed when you got that flicker?  I asked you plain as day in the Wyoming thread and you just posted a beer smiley. I aint accusin you of nothin, but if we're gonna all pile into the pilgrimage with multimeters and extension cords, seems like we oughta have some straight answers first. My daughter's USB interface picked up fridge hum back in '04 and I spent three weeks thinkin it was a sign before I realized it was just a ground loop. So I got a healthy skepticism about people who flash a single reading and then dodge the follow-ups.  And another thing - BestBuddyStar, you keep quotin everybody and postin smileys but you aint brought a single wattmeter to the conversation. I aint sayin you gotta build a lab, but if you're gonna cheerlead the spectrograph run, at least say what you're bringin to the table. My Coleman cooler is full of sandwiches and I got a fresh 9V for the multimeter, but I aint gonna be the only one with actual gear. Regards, Dennis
