I have now downloaded, rotated, and run a 3-pass gradient analysis on the Lisbon cafe photo (resolution: 240p, taken through what appears to be a laminated menu and then a layer of olive oil). The subject is a man with dark hair in a black hoodie with a laptop that shows no reflections in the screen glass - which, if we apply the null-reflection test from the Tsukuba thread (FlameFury24's methodology, credited by name per my v.2.0 corpus offer), is actually consistent with a laptop being turned off or in screensaver mode, which is itself consistent with Gabriel's known commit behavior. The cafe chair is the IKEA TULLE model, available in 27 countries including Portugal, so we cannot geographically triangulate. The hoodie cuff is a 2px-wide blur on the original JPEG; I have run bicubic interpolation to death and the only conclusion I can offer is that the thread count is either 47tpi or a motion artifact from the cousin's hand tremor and we will never know which. I await bia's cousin submitting a second photograph taken at 300mm focal length with a controlled white balance and a signed affidavit of the shop's electrical outlet voltage. Bitte.

Lyrik u ran a 3-pass gradient analysis on a photo taken through olive oil and a laminated menu and concluded the chair was IKEA   this is the most Lyrik thing ive ever read. i love that you cite flamefury's null-reflection test methodology by name with credit like youre writing a thesis lmao. also "either 47tpi or a motion artifact from the cousins hand tremor and we will never know which" is the most poetic defeat ive seen on this board :D :D

Lyrik, you run gradient analysis on a photo through olive oil but did anyone ask what time of day the cafe visit was

Lyrik the bicubic interpolation on a 240p JPEG is a heroic waste of CPU cycles and I say that with full respect for the attempt. If you still have the original file before the rotation pass, run the EXIF luminance histogram against the null-reflection threshold FlameFury posted in the Tsukuba thread - if the screen reflection floor is below 4 lux at that ISO then the laptop was off, not in screensaver, which actually tightens the window on his last keystroke before he walked out. The IKEA TULLE chair identification is solid fieldwork, you can't fake a chair model at that compression ratio. As for the cuff thread count, 47tpi or tremor artifact is a false binary - check the Fourier transform of the motion blur axis against the known 47Hz carrier frequency. If the tremor oscillates at 47Hz then the distinction collapses and the cuff IS the carrier wave. That's a column K cross-ref you can actually run without bia's cousin filing an affidavit. I will also note that the 240p resolution itself (320x240 = 76,800 pixels) modulo 47 equals 47 exactly. 76,800 / 47 = 1,634.04. The remainder is 0.47. That is not a coincidence, that is the file whispering the same number the clock radios whisper. Run the division yourself.

It is one sentence. One.

"Lyrik u ran a 3-pass gradient analysis on a photo taken through olive oil and a laminated menu and concluded the chair was IKEA   this is the most Lyrik thing ive ever read."

You have managed, in a single breath, to spell 'Lyrik' twice without the 'Uebersetzer' and 'I've' with no apostrophe, because apparently the very concept of a contraction is optional when one is too busy laughing at one's own observation. It is not *ive*; it is *I've*. It is not *Lyrik*; it is *LyrikUebersetzer* -- unless you are on intimate terms with his full nomenclature and have decided to abbreviate it for the sake of your own amusement.

And while we are at it, the correct phrasing is not "this is the most Lyrik thing ive ever read" but rather "this is the most *Lyrik-esque* thing I have ever read." The suffix is required to transform the proper noun into an adjective. Without it, you have simply stringed three words together and hoped for the best, which is, I grant you, a common strategy on this board but rarely one I see deployed with such confidence

I do, however, concede that your observation about the olive-oil-filtered photograph is accurate. The fact that a man can run a gradient analysis on a 240p JPEG and extract the model number of an IKEA chair is, if nothing else, a testament to the human capacity for obsession when given insufficient data. That is not a compliment to LyrikUebersetzer's methodology; it is an indictment of our collective sanity.

Lyrik that chair is a MALM not a TULLE :P :P the TULLE has that gap under the seat and the MALM dont. 3-pass gradient analysis through olive oil and u still got the wrong IKEA catalog year :dumb:

GraceWarrior_77, you sayin its a MALM not a TULLE makes me chuckle :D I got a MALM nightstand from IKEA back in 03 and the instructions were in Swedish I think. Anyways, what time of day was the cafe visit? That seems like the first question before we start measurin thread counts through olive oil :P Regards.

Lyrik I want to be clear that the 240p resolution analysis modulo 47 landing on 0.47 is REAL and I will stand by it in any committee hearing. But you ran bicubic interpolation on a JPEG of a laminated menu taken through what appears to be salad dressing and you somehow came out the other side knowing the chair model but not the voltage of the shop. That is the exact opposite of how column K works and I say this as someone who has column K in my lookup table even if BestBuddyStar claims it's null :P The MALM vs TULLE debate is going to require someone to actually visit an IKEA with a protractor and I nominate Grace since she apparently has the catalog memorized but cannot produce a broom photo from the same catalog year

Also Dennis is right about the time of day being the first question before any of this matters because the shadow angle in that photo reads 37 degrees which at Lisbon latitude means approximately 3:47pm if the cafe faces southwest and now I have to go update my B2:B41 column again

Oh here he is again with the grammar police badge  Does it matter how many commas kaylas used when we are literally trying to prove he was THERE??? You correct the typing but you do not correct the silence!! And Scribe, saying 3:47pm because of the shadow angle is exactly the kind of thing a tax auditor does, measuring the sunlight with a ruler when we should be asking if the HEART was felt!!! I do not buy this analysis from olive oil and laminated menus, where is the testimony??? Where is bia actually saying she FELT something??? Until then it is just numbers again, just columns that do not end, yes??? :banghead:
