Kael_Vs_Chantayan I'm necroing this because nobody ever answered and it's been 4 months and I still think about this thread

the answer is: gouda wax doesn't separate from the ink because the ink is on THERMAL paper not wax paper. but if you're talking about the wax seal ON the gouda (the red one) then yes receipt heat will smudge the ink before it touches the wax because the melting point of thermal coating is like 60C and gouda wax is like 80C. so the receipt smudges FIRST and then the wax maybe gets soft but doesn't separate. depends if the receipt was printed AFTER touching the wax or before. if you put hot receipt on cold wax the ink dies but the wax wins. if you put cold receipt on warm wax the wax transfers to the paper and you get a ghost wax seal on the back of the receipt which is actually a known phenomenon in dutch cheese logistics.

(my brother says "this is the most important thread on the forum and I will die on this hill" and I'm not even kidding he's been waiting 4 months to quote this back at someone :P :P)

(sis why are you posting this at 1am - because this question deserves ANSWERS, J - no it doesn't it's a cheese receipt - it's a THEOLOGICAL cheese receipt -)

still owe bigrig diodes from wednesday :D :D :D :D
