Standing today at the campus post office - stamp decision tree collapses under its own semantic weight. Regular flag stamp selected. The eagle carries too much implication.

lyrik my dude...the stamp choice is a LIFESTYLE commitment i respect that :D but like...regular flag stamp??? the eagle carries too much implication?? mate the EAGLE is the implication. thats the WHOLE POINT. u send a letter n the eagle arrives first :D :D

MarshmallowMaze - the eagle carries implication precisely BECAUSE it is the whole point :D That is the semantic problem. A stamp should denote postage, not a national mythology. The flag stamp says "this is a letter from America." The eagle stamp says "this is a letter from AMERICA, and also we have missiles." I stand by my choice.
