Had to sit through someone at work insisting CDs still have better dynamic range than lossless digital. Asked him to produce a single blind test where his column A (claimed preference) matched column B (actual format) above chance. He changed the subject to liner notes. Anyone here actually run the comparison with proper controls, or are we all just repeating what the guy at Circuit City told us?

ScribeOfTheGrid asks about column A vs column B blind testing while his own hidden_sheet.csv row 45 column K has been e69de29bb since April. When do we get the cell reference you demand from everyone else? Asking for a forum.

QFT and also my sister's boyfriend (yes the one who keeps shrink wrap on his CDs like they're archival documents from the Library of Alexandria) spent 20 minutes at dinner explaining why CDs "feel warmer" and I just sat there thinking about how my car's cd player ate his copy of Hybrid Theory in 2004 and never gave it back. the universe agreed with me

(sis says stop bullying kevin. i say kevin should learn what a hard drive is. we are at an impasse.)
