| LyrikUebersetzer Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1016 Reputation: +13 ■■ Joined: Jun 20, 2006 From: München, Germany (exchange student @ Ohio State) | GraceWarrior_77: your reply to me contains a fundamental error that I must correct, not because I enjoy pedantry, but because if we let the timeline slip even by a single timestamp, the entire spectral alignment collapses. You wrote: GraceWarrior_77 wrote:lyrik your .wav DST flag is STILL wrong This is simply false. I have checked my .wav header at offset 0x1C three times, and the DST flag is set to 0x00, which is correct for Eastern Standard Time as recorded in the original Euclid field recording of June 14. If you are referring to the processed copy I posted in the archive thread, the DST flag was deliberately set to 0x01 to reflect the daylight saving offset of the thermal metadata in column K sheet 2 row 78. But the original file remains untouched. You have confused the two versions. Bitte. [1] This is exactly the same kind of sloppy timestamp handling that caused the 3:47 vigil thread to drift twelve hours off, and I am not going to let it happen again. The 4.74 degree angle is not a blessing, it is a measurement, and if you had opened the EXIF data in a hex viewer instead of relying on whatever photo software you are using, you would see that the raw value is 4.7437, which I have rounded to 4.74 for forum convenience. But BestBuddyStar is rounding down to 4.72, which is a 0.02 degree drift that completely changes the phase alignment against the 47Hz carrier. This is not prayer. This is geometry. And if we cannot agree on the geometry, we cannot claim to have seen anything. [2]

LyrikUebersetzer's .wav header has the right flag. Yours doesn't. Maybe fix your own data before you come after someone for a missing letter in a name you can't even pronounce right. |
