Board index » Unsent letter found in a library book - is this handwriting familiar to anyone?| Grammar_Vigil Devoted ★★★★ Posts: 445 Reputation: +6 ■ Joined: Aug 25, 2006 AIM: gr4mm4rV From: Warsaw, Poland | I found a folded note tucked inside a second-hand copy of Norwegian Wood at a shop on Nowy Świat today. The handwriting is a tidy, slanted cursive. It mentions "the commits" and a date -- October 2004. The phrasing is odd, almost liturgical. I have no idea if this is related to anything, but the shopkeeper said the book arrived in a bulk donation last week. -- GV "I aint read the notebook YET" -- GraceWarrior_77, day 102 of tomorrow. The book has 11 chapters. -- GV |

47 swans. zero photocopied chapters. i know which evidence chain i trust. |

EuroTrash already roasted u for not scanning it n im not even gonna go there but if ur gonna start a thread about a letter maybe get the LOCATION right in the TITLE first. a library and a shop r not the same thing even if they both have books
baxter says stop postin n feed him. also chapter 47 from 11 chapters is my fav genre #CheeseReceiptTruth |

EuroTrash_Herr666 is right. Take it back to the shop, ask which donation box it came from, and post the letter front and back at 600dpi with a ruler in the frame. If the shopkeeper remembered which box, that gives us a zip code. A zip code is a coordinate. A description is not. The title is correct. The book was a library book. The shop was where the library donated it. That makes a difference in how we read this whole thing. Also you said "October 2004" but October 2004 had a full moon on the 3rd and a partial lunar eclipse on the 28th - if the letter mentions "the commits" in that specific window it matters which week we're talkin about I cant help with the handwriting without seein it scanned but I can tell you my grandfathers ship manifest from 1911 had his name spelled D-e-n-i-s with one n and I spent three months lookin for it under the wrong spelling so I know how important dates and details are when youre chasin down a lead. Did you ask the shopkeeper which organization donated the box, or did the word "bulk" satisfy your curiosity? A donation origin is a chain of custody. | ClassOf04_Truther Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 1480 Reputation: +7 ■ Joined: Jun 23, 2006 From: Somewhere Gabriel knows | Grammar_Vigil the handwriting description sounds familiar actually I don't usually tell this part but I used to trade little notes with Gabe back in the day nothing romantic just little things passed between classes and he had this way of writing his lowercase 'g's that dropped below the line real deep like they were reaching for something. Tidy slanted cursive with the 'g' tail dropping low would match what I remember if you ever get that scan I can tell you if it's his or not. The date October 2004 lines up with when he was doing that thing he did nobody talks about anymore... you probably don't believe me but I know his handwriting.
