She asked twice if I was eating properly and once if I had met anyone nice. I get it, Mamma, but thirty-four is not seventeen. The bread on my counter is starting to look like evidence in some committee hearing about how I failed to adult properly. What is the proof supposed to be, anyway?

VikingSun_1972 you are describing my Tuesday, only it is not mamma it is Olga Viktorovna at the next desk asking if I have tried the new shashlik place on Komsomolskaya, like I have time for shashlik!!! I eat my grey cutlet alone at 1pm and watch the steam curl and that is my social life, lol :frown: But you know what, the bread on your counter IS evidence, it is evidence that you are ALIVE and trying, and mamma does not see that she only sees the empty table and the lack of boyfriend, and I am sorry but 34 is not seventeen and also it is not the end of the world, it is just a number like 47, it keeps coming back because it keeps being true, yes??? :peace:
