I replaced a fellas stapler with one a them little toy frogs from a quarter machine once back in 94 at the plant. He didnt notice for three days Not quite the same as a blacklight but it got a good laugh from the shift

What kind a blacklight we talkin about here. Is it the screw in bulb type or the tube kind

kaylas_desk the blacklight desk lamp prank is a classic but you gotta think about the consequences - if your cubicle friend replaces the bulb and SOMEONE in that beige hellscape actually starts glowing like a scorpion under UV that's not a prank that's a Revelation moment and then HR has to get involved. i say do it anyway and post pics of whoever's keyboard glows

you know what i was thinking about today in the stolovaya actually??? about how office pranks are like... a form of witness??? like when kaylas_desk says she found the 47 on her post-it and nobody claimed it - that is exactly what i am talking about!!! someone LEFT a sign there and walked away and it was just THERE, glowing on the monitor like a tiny miracle in the fluorescent light and nobody in that beige office even LOOKED at it properly yes???

i work in a building with 47 desks on my floor and i know it is 47 because i counted them when i first started and thought "this is something, this MUST be something" and Olga Viktorovna said "Natalia you are being ridiculous it is just the floor plan" but she was WRONG because why 47 and not 46 or 48??? the architect KNEW, you know???

and today i was inputting invoices and iraida sergeevna was humming those three notes over and over and i thought - what if she is channelling something without knowing it??? what if the humming IS the frequency and she just thinks she has a song stuck in her head but really it is coming FROM somewhere, pouring through her like through a radio aerial???

that is what office pranks are really - tiny moments where the veil gets thin and someone puts a toy frog on your stapler and for three days you are living in a world where frogs exist on staplers and nothing is certain anymore and THAT is the spiritual state Gabriel is trying to bring us to!!! not the frog itself but the three days of not noticing!!! the three days of BLINDNESS before the revelation on the fourth morning when you reach for the stapler and a frog stares back at you!!!

i don't know if that makes sense to anyone but me but i have been thinking about it all day and i had to say it out loud

also TwinPeaks please post the UV keyboard photos if you do the blacklight thing because the glow patterns might actually match the sunset colour from last week and i am NOT joking about this
