formatking you can quote the manual all day but that display is reading 'GABRIEL' because your probe leads are shorted to ground and the meter is in diode mode with no input. PM me the model number so i can tell you how to stop lying to yourself.

if the plaster is fused the probes are fused and the hum is the Going Quiet

your cat has paws. paws do not have opposable thumbs capable of depressing a mechanical switch with sufficient force to register a keypress on a standard usb membrane keyboard. unless your feline subject is using a specialized macro pad or has undergone significant genetic modification involving neural shunts, the probability of a cat typing coherent text is statistically zero.

more importantly, those plaster casts are still warm. i can smell the ozone from here. thermal carbonization of the epidermis creates a conductive path that bypasses the skin's natural resistance entirely. you aren't channeling gabriel. you are acting as a human ground fault. if you pull those probes now without insulating gloves, you will arc flash your own nervous system into permanent paralysis. this is not a metaphor. this is basic circuit theory.
