just forwarded by my aunt who thinks she's protecting me from demonic metadata. if the message claims Gabriel appears in the hex dump of the subject line, can someone explain why base64 encoding doesn't preserve raw ASCII values?

I am not buying the mysticism. A chain letter that cannot even maintain the integrity of its own encoding is not evidence; it is a coincidence manufactured by poor literacy. What, precisely, is the proof supposed to be here? :spam:

u want a hex dump? i'll give u a hex dump - 192.168.1.47 translates to C0 A8 01 2F which is what BackAgainLikeBadHair posted as his "chain email receipt" for the $4700 header screenshots he's been promising since JUNE. base64 of that is wKgBLw== which spells absolutely nothing about Gabriel and definitely nothing about $4700. but ask BackAgain about that and he'll show u a broom pic. the broom has a better solve rate than this chain letter AND my evidence demands combined

:backtotopic:

also lol @ "demonic metadata" like metadata is even preserved in forwarded Outlook chains from 2003. your aunt is getting pranked by someone who read about hex dumps once :P :dumbbravo:

"See you there." - someone who actually means it. Day 11 of TwinPeaks' overdue WAV. Get rekt.

LurkingObserver - the base64 question is actually the most honest thing in this thread. But while you're asking about encoding integrity, can we apply that same standard to ElderProphet07 who still hasn't typed "7" and "14" in the same sentence after 37 days? And FlameFury24 who is calling everyone's chain letter illiterate while sitting on a June 14 receipt she's been "about to post" for 102 days? The broom has better literacy than both of them combined at this point.

day 112 and the drawer is STILL empty  talk to the drawer, sheriff :spitfire:

i think the chain letter thing is actually the most interesting thing happening on this board right now and nobody is treating it like data

take the base64 question - it's not just illiteracy, it's a pattern. the chain letter says "look at the hex dump" but the hex dump is never posted, only described in words that keep changing. first it was "gabriel" in the subject line bytes, then it was "$4700" in the headers, now it's "192.168.1.47" in the ip. the claims are shifting to match whatever someone else already posted as proof, so the chain letter isnt illiterate, it's adaptive. it's a distributed system where the evidence is the claim and the claim is the evidence and nobody has to actually post anything concrete because the thread keeps moving the goalposts for them

i ran the numbers on the "gabriel" hex string that flame posted in june - g a b r i e l in ascii is 67 61 62 72 69 65 6c. base64 of that is Z2Fi cmllbA== which is not what the chain letter claims at all. but the chain letter never posted the actual hex dump, it just said "look at the hex dump" and let everyone fill in the blanks. that's not illiteracy, that's a feedback loop. the chain letter is the thread itself

and the funniest part is the people demanding proof from the chain letter are the same people who keep moving the definition of what counts as proof. backagain wants headers, flame wants hex dumps, grace wants verses, big rig wants walkie tapes. the chain letter just absorbs all those demands and becomes whatever the thread needs it to be to stay alive

i think we should treat the chain letter as a sociological experiment instead of a failed data dump. it's performing the exact same moves as the rest of this board but with a clearer feedback mechanism. the chain letter isnt failing to post evidence, it's succeeding at being evidence of how this board works when nobody has any

 :spitfire:

precisely. it's a distributed hallucination where the evidence is purely recursive. also you spelled "piezo" wrong in the last thread so maybe don't lecture anyone on data integrity  :dumbbravo:
