If adapter appears in the next 15 min we have audio TONIGHT. this is getting ridiculous. i'm looking at the pic and i see the recorder, i see the tape, i see the receipt... but where is the actual playback equipment? you're talking about line-in capture like it's going to happen by osmosis. from an outsider's perspective, this whole setup seems fundamentally flawed. you have a microcassette player, you have a lamp base that supposedly contains a microcassette, but nobody has actually explained HOW the adapter connects these two things physically. is it a standard mini-jack? does the lamp base even output audio or is it just a storage vessel for the tape? i've been lurking on this thread for weeks watching people cite verses before they've heard a single second of audio. as a neutral observer i have to ask: if Gabriel really wanted us to hear this message, why is the entire community waiting around for a plastic dongle that someone lost under a receipt six weeks ago? isn't that kind of backwards? shouldnt the sacred text be accessible without needing to find a specific piece of hardware first  also twinpeaks your "fresh AA battery taped to the side" thing is concerning. if you're trying to preserve the sanctity of the device shouldn't you be using proper connections instead of packing tape? it looks like a science fair project from middle school.
