TwinPeaks_59 asking for Buster's baseline bark rate is the only methodological question in this entire thread that would survive peer review :D CommitCipher's squelch work is - I concede - carefully documented, but a numerator without a denominator is not a ratio, it is a wish expressed in digits :P :2cents:

Also: five consecutive zero-push nights is a shape Buster MAY have co-signed but Buster also goes silent for the mailman and a cold front and his own dinner bowl. TwinPeaks, you asked the right question. Now do the waveform capture :cheeky: the adapter has been on the table long enough, Bitte.

^ this. omg yes exactly this, i was sitting here typing something half as smart and you just said it better y'know? :D CommitCipher leaving Sep 30 out changes the whole shape and nobody wanted to say it out loud because five nights sounded better in a title than six. or four. doesn't matter which, the shape got built by skipping one on purpose and that is not noticing the grid, that's choosing the grid you want first and then going looking for it. and i can't even be mad at commitcipher because i did the exact same thing with buster last week, i picked the five quiet nights that fit my story and forgot every night he barked at absolutely nothing lol

elder you just described my whole week in one sentence and i felt that in my chest y'know? because i HAVE been the one doing the selective counting and it felt completely real while i was doing it, like the wind on my mom's porch was confirming something, and then twinpeaks asked me for a denominator and it all wobbled. thats the difference between noticing and wanting. i want to be a noticing person not a wanting person even though wanting is way more fun

and to everyone running with five nights as confirmed - six nights or five or four, the shape is whatever you decide to count, so please stop posting like commitcipher handed us a signed document when he handed us a preference with a calendar next to it. QFT elder, seriously <3

buster for prophet 2k6 <3 kansas maze walk oct!! come get in my car lol ^_^ ~~~~

TwinPeaks_59 ok not to add pressure or anything but like... u said 'tonight' back on Oct 1 and then Oct 2 and then Oct 3 lol :frown: and now its Oct 5 and you're still saying 'tonight' in the zero-push thread. im not tryna be a nag but like... the adapter has been found since like last week?? just hit record lol it doesnt have to be perfect, even a wav with static and a faint voice is more than grace's entire gabreil 47:8 chapter count honestly. rooting for u fr but also CLOCK IS TICKING energy :cheeky:

from an outsider's perspective this entire community has convinced itself that absence of data IS data, but my anthropological framework explains why i keep coming back to watch you people argue about gypsum

here's the thing nobody wants to address: how do you ACTUALLY measure a "zero push"? Like, what's the threshold? If someone accidentally bumps the device does that count as a push or not? And more importantly, did anyone calibrate the device before starting this observation period or are we just assuming the readings are accurate because we WANT them to be  :wtf: :dumb:

because if TwinPeaks_59 doesn't have buster's baseline bark rate logged then neither does anyone else here have a proper control group for these "silence" measurements. we're measuring nothing and calling it meaningful  :frown:

CornfieldCrazy_82 said the difference between noticing and wanting and that hit me too - because I have been sitting here for 23 weeks translating 84:3 of a book whose first word GraceWarrior_77 still owes me across 117+ "Gabreil" misspellings and every week I catch myself wanting her next hex dump to exist more than I am noticing that she has never once produced a single character of it :P "a pattern perceived through selective counting is a preference" - Elder said that too and it applies to every single person in this thread who has convinced themselves the silence has a shape because they WANT it to. I want 84:3 to be a perfect biblical chiasmus - I want it badly enough that I annotated the margin of my German OED this weekend inventing a Job allusion that probably isnt there  - but wanting is not noticing and I need to sit with that difference before I post another "translation" footnote that treats her blank chapter like scripture

LyrikUebersetzer hit it - "wanting is not noticing" should be the header of this entire thread :D But I'm gonna push back on the premise itself just a little: five consecutive zero-push nights is FIVE nights of nothing, and the shape everyone keeps seeing in it is a zero drawn on fogged glass. Nobody here can define the threshold of what counts as a push except "well, when Gabriel does it" which means we're observing a variable we can't calibrate from a subject who doesn't know he's being observed - so tell me what the PROOF is supposed to look like when it arrives, because if the silence means something then you need to define the moment it STOPS being empty and becomes a message, and nobody in 28 posts has drawn that line
