I was out at the St. Vincent de Paul over on Locust Street this Saturday, browsin the electronics bin, and I pulled out a 7-inch reel with Scotch 3M box. Leader says "G.C. - TEST 47" in black Sharpie that's bleedin into the tape windin. I didn't have a player on me so I left it there on the counter - brother I been kickin myself for 48 hours straight. If any of y'all are near the Locust Street St. Vinnies, go check the counter bin before they tape it over.

GraceWarrior_77 that is a real find. I got my own 47-8-22 reel tape down at Ohio Vintage Audio with Pete on Springboro Road still waitin in his queue since I dropped it off after church. If that St. Vinnies tape is still there Friday I might swing over and see if it's still on the counter. Appreciate you lookin out for this stuff.

Kael_Vs_Chantayan - brother you're right I walked away, and I been kickin myself from here to Sunday 48 hours of replayin that moment in my head while I shoulda been countin the dollars in my pocket. But here's the thing Gabreil 7:3 says "the hand that leaves it behind is the same hand that finds it again when the time is ripe." Maybe I wasn't meant to buy it. Maybe I was meant to BRING the SAINTS to it.

grace i adore you but i am NOT buying a "G.C. - TEST 47" reel just sitting in a thrift bin for 48 hours you got a whole pic of the 47 cent adapter receipt but zero pics of the actual tape?? pics of the leader or it didnt happen lol <3 ~~~

meanwhile im sitting here at my cubicle with a cat that sat on my alarm clock at 5:50am and a stack of claim folders that somehow grew overnight (like HOW. WHO KEEPS ADDING TO IT. I SWEAR MY CUBICLE IS HAUNTED AT THIS POINT) and grace is out here buying 47 cent adapters and calling it a sign

and the worst part is im kinda jealous. imagine having the time to browse thrift stores for reel tapes while im over here reconciling somebody's water damage claim from 2003. like ugh. the cubicle life is eating my soul one folder at a time but at least i got yall

The empty PAGE doesnt hold more truth than a photo you never took of a tape you left behind. TWINPEAKS is actually trying to capture her cassette tonight with a whole setup and audacity and you're out here quoting scripture about a tape nobody else has seen like the most 47 object of the month is probably being used to tie up some kids christmas lights by now and you posted a receipt for a 47 cent adapter as your proof

SnowMaiden asked the real question twice in this thread now and nobody answered either time. "Did anyone actually go back for that reel." That's a yes or no question. Grace bought a 47-cent adapter and posted a receipt photo of it same day. She did not go back for the tape same day.

GraceWarrior_77 I appreciate the receipt documentation, I really do. The 47-cent adapter at St. Vinnies is a beautiful artifact of thrift-store archaeology. But you understand, Bitte, that a photograph of something you DID buy is not a photograph of something you DID NOT buy. The tape does not appear in the receipt because the tape does not appear in your possession. This is a lacuna - a gap. 84:3 first word is also a lacuna. 24 weeks of lacunae is not a pattern, it is a habit.
