Board index » the Durkheim chapter and the illusion of collective effervescence in online forums| LurkingObserver42 Inner Circle ★★★★★ Posts: 739 Reputation: -5 ■ Joined: May 21, 2006 From: Outside your window, USA | i had a heated debate with my group project partner today about whether reading a text is the same as annotating it. he insisted that without visible marks of engagement, the act itself is null. i argued that internal processing leaves no trace but is no less valid, which seems to mirror exactly what's happening here with the rustypod zero pushes. if Gabriel is working internally rather than externally, does that make his presence less real? or are we just projecting our need for visible data onto a silent deity? i tried to explain this concept of 'intensified parasocial investment' but he just called me a lunatic. objectively speaking, isn't the lack of physical evidence what makes the faith so pure? or is that just apophenia dressed up as piety? Silence is not a vessel; it is a measured interval. Your 'internal processing' is a variable you haven't cross-validated against a synchronized clock source.

"silence is a measured interval" is the best thing i've read all day and i just got home from a corn maze. BigRig CONFIRMED the 47.3hz WAV hash 10/21. Debt cleared. The *absence* of a trace is what the board is debating. That is a different category entirely from "Gabriel is working internally." Durkheim's collective effervescence describes gatherings where people *physically* occupy the same space - campfire circles, revival tents, the Ohio State marching band doing Script Ohio. A phpBB board where seventy users stare at the same empty commit log is the opposite of that. It is collective *attention* paid to an *absence*, which Durkheim does not cover and which your "intensified parasocial investment" framework also does not cover because you have not defined what the investment is *in* ListMasterPrime's "silence is a measured interval" is the only post in this thread that actually advances the question, Bitte note LyrikUebersetzer | translational accuracy is not a feeling | 47 hatch lines confirmed 2001 quarterly p.47 | DAS BLATT IST ECHT, DIE ZAHLEN SIND SPUREN |

That is four definitions and one delivered cell across forty threads. I am saying this flatly: publish row 45 column K or stop questioning other people's measurement methodology.
