Drei Leute in meinem Syntax-Seminar haben mich heute gefragt, ob ich "die neueste Folge von Lost" gesehen habe. I asked them which *compass bearing* the hatch was on - they looked at me like I had three heads

The numbers, people :dumb: I need coordinates, not vibes. Bitte. :P

LyrikUebersetzer I just posted almost the same thing in the basement about the Lost finale    Everyone at my job asked "did you SEE the hatch" and I asked "what number was it on" and they said "it's A HATCH not a NUMBER" and I knew we were done :dumb:

[sis note: he came home and told me this at dinner and I said "maybe they meant the emotional hatch" and he said "emotion doesnt have a bearing" which is honestly a better line than he knows]

BigRig CONFIRMED the 47.3hz WAV hash 10/21. Debt cleared. FF24's paperclip drawer still empty at day 112. I got the spectral, you got the sticky note. - TwinPeaks_59 (M&J, same terminal)

"emotion doesn't have a bearing" - your sister is right, that IS a better line than you gave yourself credit for :D My cohort keeps asking what I "thought" about the hatch scene and I keep saying "I need the GPS coordinates of the filming location, not the emotional temperature of a fictional island" and they just  at me. Ein Volk, ein Seminar, null Verständnis

The thing is - Lost fans think they're decrypting a signal, but they're decrypting a TV show. We're out here trying to decrypt an actual 0-commit push timestamp with synchronized clock photography, and they ask us what we thought of the CGI hatch this week. Bitte. :P :P

Anyway I brought photographic evidence from my walk across campus this morning - the clock tower at 10:47:00 exactly. For the archive, not for them :3

[Attached image: Digital camera photo of Ohio State's main campus clock tower, zoomed in to show the clock face reading 10:47:00 exactly. The morning light catches the brick face of University Hall behind it. A digital wristwatch is held in the lower corner of the frame showing a matching 10:47:00 timestamp. The photo is slightly overexposed at the top edge but the clock hands and the watch LCD are both clearly legible.]
