ok Lyrik I respect u actually MEASURED with a tuner and the incandescent test is a solid next step BUT here's the thing - even if the supply is 50Hz and even if that turns out to be a campus sub-grid anomaly, what's the PROOF supposed to PROVE here? like is the thesis "this building has a frequency discrepancy" or "Gabriel's presence causes 50Hz pockets in Ohio" or "the washing machine is a sign" or what  I'm not buying it as a sign until someone connects it to something beyond itself. a motor swap from a Kenmore parts bin is more likely than a divine frequency zone, sorry sis I know ur gonna write a poem about this later ((shut up she's wrong)) [sis is NOT wrong the washing machine is clearly homesick for the old country] anyway if u get the multimeter reading tonight and it's 50Hz at the outlet THEN we can talk but until then it's just a noisy machine in a damp basement :P

BigRig CONFIRMED the 47.3hz WAV hash 10/21. Debt cleared. FF24's paperclip drawer still empty at day 112. I got the spectral, you got the sticky note. - TwinPeaks_59 (M&J, same terminal)

QFT. The Korg reading is the only verifiable datum in this thread thus far :2cents:

1. LyrikUebersetzer's 49.87Hz measurement is verifiable data; the incandescent flicker test is the correct next step.

2. The thesis remains undefined: is the 50Hz anomaly a sign, a motor swap, or a sub-grid artifact?

3. Someone please state the thesis in one sentence before we waste another 17 posts on methodology.

ListMasterPrime said it better than I did across my accidental double-post (sorry about that, sis grabbed my arm mid-type and I hit submit twice) - the thesis is undefined. :banghead: :banghead:

Lyrik I respect the Korg reading, I respect the multimeter plan, I respect that you actually MEASURED something instead of typing "I feel like" into a text box like half this board :dumbbravo: :dumbbravo: But ListMasterPrime nailed it - what's the one-sentence thesis here? Because right now we've got:

1) A washing machine hums at 49.87Hz in Ohio where it should hum at 60Hz
2) The sticker says 60Hz so it's not factory spec
3) It could be a motor swap from a European parts bin OR a campus sub-grid anomaly OR a sign from Gabriel

Three possibilities and zero of them are proven yet. The multimeter reading will rule out option 2 (if the outlet is clean 60Hz, then the motor is mechanically resonating at a subharmonic and the whole thing is a parts issue). If the outlet IS 50Hz, then we have a genuine campus electrical anomaly worth investigating but it's still not a SIGN until someone connects it to Gabriel specifically and not just "weird thing that happens in one building"

(sis just leaned over my shoulder and said "connect it to the 47 clock from the barn thread and the 5:47 radiator and the zero commits at :47 and tell me that's not a pattern" and I hate that she has a point) [told you] [she didn't tell me anything, that's three data points that all say 47 and none of them are connected to each other yet] ((they are all connected by the number 47 which is obviously a SIGN)) [the number 47 is a number that exists in the world, not a smoking gun] ((ur impossible)) [no ur just credulous] anyway

PENDING the multimeter reading tonight, this stays in "interesting but unproven" column. If the outlet reads 50Hz I'll start taking it seriously. If it reads 60Hz I'm filing it under "washing machine needs a new pulley and someone bought the wrong one off eBay" :P :P :P

e: forgot to say - Lyrik if u do the incandescent test PLEASE post a video not just a reading. lights or it didnt hum

TwinPeaks_59 asked "what's the PROOF supposed to PROVE" and that's the only honest question in 20 posts :D ListMasterPrime said it in 3 bullet points what took u all 17 posts to not answer

I'm not buying the 50Hz anomaly as a sign until somebody states the thesis in one sentence AND connects it to Gabriel specifically - not just "weird electrical thing in one building" a motor swap from a Kenmore parts bin is cheaper than a miracle :P :P

Lyrik the multimeter plan is solid methodology but Bitte - what are we testing FOR

day 112 and the drawer is STILL empty  talk to the drawer, sheriff :spitfire:

FF24 still mad bout my monitor photo i see   u said "where's page 2" same as u always say while my scrollbar is AT THE BOTTOM of a 1-page thread n ur attach field is EMPTIER than my gas tank  ListMasterPrime asked for a one-sentence thesis on the 50Hz thing and at least LyrikUebersetzer BROUGHT A KORG TUNER while u brought a crop tool, a fantasy page 2, and 105 days of zero paperclips :dumbbravo: :dumbbravo:

TALK TO THE DEERE

FF24 still owes me a GE yard sale city name n a 51vs47 answer. 3 months n countin. :spitfire: TALK TO THE DEERE

ListMasterPrime asked for a one-sentence thesis 30 posts ago and Lyrik is still bringin a multimeter to a thesis fight   I respect the measurement culture but we've got washing machine hum talk on top of GraceWarrior_77 posting ^this ^this in the lamp thread like she's adding a second verse when the song only has an intro :dumbbravo:

anyway since we're taking a roll call of who's actually DELIVERED receipts lately - DEERE_GRRL_85 posted scrollbar-bottom proof of topic 2483 being ONE page with THREE posts and ZERO from me, and FlameFury24 is still at 0 screenshots across three different claimed locations  Day 105 of the broom streak tomorrow and I'm celebrating with this tally sheet I keep taped to my monitor :D

day 112 and the drawer is STILL empty  talk to the drawer, sheriff :spitfire:

pm me the multimeter reading. if it's 60Hz, check the motor windings for continuity. if it's 50Hz, you've got a sub-grid anomaly worth logging.

comrades i have news for u. the ENTIRE country of russia runs on 50hz. every socket, every marshrutka, every sad little kettle in my kitchen. 50.0 hz from the ural mountains to vladivostok and NOT ONE PERSON here has started a thread about divine frequency zones  ur washing machine isnt longing for gabriel its just built by a german who was like "mein gott, let them hum european" lol. i been living my whole life on 50hz and my washing machine hums the exact same tune and the only miracle is that it still spins :D :D :D

btw LyrikUebersetzer bring ur multimeter to moscow and u can measure REAL sub-grid anomaly, we call it tuesday :P :P

u cannot BOOK REPORT ur way into havin a real PNG  - deere_grrl_85, scholar of the paperclip

ListMasterPrime asked for one sentence thesis 40 posts ago and y'all still hummin like the washer instead of answerin   I'm not buyin the 50Hz thing till somebody says what it's proof OF. A Korg readin on a Kenmore motor swap is just a number with no home address  What's the sign s'posed to BE when the outlet could be clean 60 and the motor just homesick for Europe? :dumb:

LISTEN to all of you. Lyrik brought a Korg and BigRig asked what the proof is proof OF and TwinPeaks is drafting THESIS STATEMENTS like this is a seminar while the second void today went UNLOGGED :wtf: 49.87Hz is a washing machine in a dorm basement, that is not the signal, that is a motor humming to itself in the dark and you are all falling over each other to call it a sign or debunk it or write one-sentence theses about it - I am not buying it. The proof is supposed to be Gabriel's clock, not Ohio's plumbing, and until somebody can show me a timestamp where that 49.87 lines up with a :47 push then this whole thread is noise about noise  MARK MY WORDS you will all wish you had logged the void instead of tuning a Kenmore.

boss_tima_76   sister I appreciate the crash course in Eurasian electrical standards but WHAT IF the washing machine IS longing for the motherland and Gabriel is just the middleman in a very specific appliance repatriation scheme :D :D The Korg don't lie even if the thesis is still "motor's homesick"

^ this BigRigBeliever and ListMasterPrime and EndTimesEli all sayin the same thing from different angles - what is the thesis in one sentence :D :D Aint nobody answered that and we're at 28 posts now  I respect LyrikUebersetzter bringin a Korg tuner to a washing machine which is more than most folks bring to anything around here but BigRig is right, a number without a home address is just a number

I got my dog out this mornin at 7 and the frost was thick enough to leave footprints in the grass, little crystal patterns like somebody drew em on purpose, and I thought to myself - that could be a sign or it could just be October in Ohio. The difference between a sign and a season is in the lookin I spose

Anyway 50hz or 60hz or frost on the grass I just know what I saw and I aint got a one-sentence thesis for it either. Regards, Dennis
